Fifth and sixth graders at St. John the Baptist Catholic School started the second unit of the school's new "maker" program, entitled Video Production & Editing. The students worked in teams of two to brainstorm ideas, storyboard their concepts, record videos and then edit the videos using WeVideo software on Chromebooks, part of the school's 1:1 technology offering. In-classroom presentations will take place in the first two weeks of November. The rural school's new "maker" program, launched this fall, encourages students to build their knowledge, creativity, grit and interpersonal skills while creating things of value.
