St. John's celebrates
church's 100th birthday!

Parishioners, former parishioners and friends of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion celebrated the 100th birthday of the parish's magnificent church on Sunday, Oct. 26. Bishop Cozzens celebrated the Mass with Father Stan Mader. The Knights of Columbus provided an impressive honor guard and also helped prepare the tasty sausage dinner that followed the ceremony. During the event, parishioner Kate Ries captured more than 200 photos, including the one on the left. Click here to view a page of Kate's photos. A clickable link on the bottom of the page will take you to a second page of photos.

What is Rediscover:? Rediscover: is an invitation to find meaning and purpose in life, a sense of belonging, inner peace and strength and true freedom through the depth and beauty of our Catholic faith. It is a pre-evangelization, evangelization and catechesis initiative that supports outreach to all Catholics and provides formation opportunities to deepen our faith and help bring us together to celebrate the gift of our faith. Rediscover: complements the good work being done in this parish and in parishes throughout His local Church.
